The Human Network and the IRO Organization held an event to discuss the effects of climate change on human health and welfare on April 7 in honor of World Health Day. The workshop was attended by representatives of civil society organizations and government institutions who have link with climate change issues.
Academics, environmentalists, civil society leaders, and officials of pertinent government foundations all attended the occasion. The event’s goal was to identify the interdisciplinary concerns that connect climate hazards to human health. Dr. Ali Arif, a lecturer and researcher at the KISSR, opened the event with a presentation on how people are exposed to risk factors in their homes, places of employment, and communities. He specifically discussed air and water pollution, radiation exposure, chemicals, agricultural practices, climate change, and, in particular, the composition of particulate matter (PM) and the role of physical characteristics.
